Tesla Megapack battery storage system enters Japan’s ancillary services market

A Tesla Megapack battery energy storage system has been deployed at the Sendai Power Station in Sendai, Japan. The system, with output of 10.8MW and 43MWh storage capacity, will provide frequency regulation services in Japan's ancillary services markets. Kanden Energy Solutions, a service arm of Kansai Electric Power Company, will operate the market.
