Test shows higher yield, lower degradation for n-type solar modules

The PV manufacturing industry is shifting to n-type TOPCon cells with higher efficiency and lower degradation rates. The National Photovoltaic Quality Inspection Center in China compared n-type TOPCon and p-type PERC modules from JinkoSolar. N-type modules showed a 3.69% gain in energy yield and lower degradation rates. The study was conducted in Yinchuan, China.
