Scientists from Colorado State University conducted field research on vegetable crop growth under different PV modules with varying transparency. The experiment evaluated the impact of different module types on the growth of six vegetables. The study site was located in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA. Results showed lower yields for summer squash under all module types, while other vegetables had equal or higher yields under semi-transparent PV modules. The researchers recommended optimizing agri-PV arrays with semi-transparent modules for increased agricultural production.
