The price of electricity continues to rise

The price of electricity sold on the day-ahead market in Bucharest exceeded 100 euros/MWh in June, with an 18% increase compared to May. The weighted average market price reported by OPCOM was 520 lei/MWh. This sharp increase of over 80 lei/MWh in just one month follows a 33% increase in May compared to April. The weighted average price has increased by 58% in just two months.
