Think tank calls for power wheeling in Indonesia

The introduction of power wheeling in Indonesia would help accelerate the country's energy transition towards net zero emissions. A think tank based in Jakarta, IESR, is pushing for power wheeling to be included in the country's New Energy and Renewable Energy Bill to create a renewable energy market and attract industrial investment. The mechanism aims to facilitate the direct supply of electricity from renewable sources, reducing carbon footprints and improving sustainability.
