TransAlta’s 200-MW Horizon Hill wind farm starts operation in Oklahoma

Canadian power producer TransAlta Corp has achieved commercial operation of its 200-MW Horizon Hill wind project in Oklahoma, contracted by Meta Platforms. The plant equipped with Vestas turbines is estimated to generate annual EBITDA of USD 31-33 million. Meta signed a long-term contract to buy renewable electricity and environmental attributes. TransAlta also sealed a 10-year transfer agreement to sell 80% of expected PTCs.
