Transelectrica and transmission system operators from Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Hungary have established a joint venture company named 'Green Energy Corridor Power Company' in Romania. The company aims to implement the Green Energy Corridor project, which involves a high voltage submarine cable connecting Romania and Georgia through the Black Sea, with extensions to Hungary and Azerbaijan. This project enhances national and regional energy security, improves connectivity in the Black Sea region, and promotes renewable energy sources.
