Transgaz gets a syndicated loan of about 1.9 bln. lei

Transgaz, the operator of the national natural gas transportation system, signed a syndicated loan contract worth 1.93 billion lei to finance investment projects. The loan was coordinated by UniCredit Bank with participation from Banca Transilvania, Banca Comercială Română, Raiffeisen Bank, and CEC Bank. The purpose of the loan is to support strategic investments in the Natural Gas National Transport System Development Plan approved by ANRE. Ion Sterian, the general manager of Transgaz, highlighted the importance of these investments for ensuring gas supply security in Romania and the EU. Raluca Popescu from UniCredit Bank praised Transgaz's position in the European energy sector, while Bogdan Cernescu from BCR emphasized the benefits of the syndicated financing for Romania's energy security and infrastructure development.
