Scientists have developed a treatment for perovskite solar cells that alters their chemical structure, improving efficiency and stability. The treatment involves a polymer material forming covalent bonds with the organic element of the perovskite material, enhancing thermal and illumination-resisting properties. Cells treated with this method maintained high efficiency levels even after extended exposure to harsh conditions. Xlynx Materials, a company spun out of Victoria University in Canada, is marketing this treatment under the name BondLynx.
