Trina Solar records 65.21 GW of solar panel shipments for 2023

Trina Solar reported a revenue of $15.75 billion in 2023 with a 33.32% increase year on year. The company's net profit rose by 50.26% to $768.2 million. The total PV module shipments reached 65.21GW in 2023, marking a 51.33% growth. Trina Solar's gross profit margin on module sales reached 15.54%. By March 2024, the company's cumulative global module shipments exceeded 205 GW. Trina Solar also highlighted growth in residential PV system shipments and their racking business. They expect continued growth in 2024 across various segments like module shipments, residential PV business, and racking business. The company also emphasized their production capacity across polysilicon wafers, solar cells, and PV modules and their expansion plans. Trina Solar has made strides in sales of large-scale energy storage containers and systems, penetrating multiple regional markets. Additionally, the company invested $768.1 million in R&D initiatives in 2023 to advance energy storage solutions and acknowledged short-term challenges in enterprise profitability due to price declines in the industrial chain.
