Turkey-based Yıldırım building 109 MW solar park in Kosovo* for its ferronickel plant

Yıldırım Energy, a subsidiary of the Turkish Yıldırım Group, has initiated a significant renewable energy project in Kosovo with an investment exceeding EUR 43 million. The project focuses on establishing a 150 MW solar farm intended to provide cost-effective electricity for the NewCo Ferronikeli plant in Gllogovc. The solar facility aims to enhance sustainable production and exempt the group from the EU's carbon import levy. The venture marks a considerable expansion of Yıldırım Energy into Kosovo, promising economic and environmental benefits.
