Turkey promoting its alternative to Greece-Cyprus power cable

Turkey submitted a project for a submarine interconnection with Northern Cyprus as an alternative to the Great Sea Interconnector. Disputes between Greece, Cyprus, and Northern Cyprus hinder the project. Cyprus faces challenges with balancing renewable energy sources. Italy's ship examined the seabed for the interconnector.
