Turkey’s Yildirim to build 109 MW solar project in Kosovo

Yildirim Group is developing a 109 MW photovoltaic plant on the premises of a ferronickel plant in Kosovo’s Drenas. The solar plant is aimed to increase the use of green energy supply in its business. Sergiy Maslichenko of EBRD mentioned that the solar plant will fulfill the energy demands of the ferronickel plant. Yildirim acquired NewCo Ferronikeli from Balfin in September 2022, resumed production in June 2023, and is focusing on energy efficiency.
