U.S. commercial real estate to host VPP-connected flywheels and batteries

Torus has signed a deal with Gardner Group for a commercial energy storage project in Utah. The project involves the installation of 26 MWh of systems and the use of Torus' proprietary software platform. It will support intelligent energy management, demand response capabilities, and integration with renewable energy sources and EV charging infrastructure. Torus will also participate in Rocky Mountain Power’s Wattsmart Battery program for grid resilience. Nate Walkingshaw, CEO of Torus, expressed excitement for the partnership and highlighted the project's significance for energy resilience and sustainability. The project is expected to start in Q4 of this year and be completed by early 2026, with the capacity to store and dispatch 26 MWh of energy.
