U.S. commercial real estate to host VPP-connected flywheels and batteries

Torus has signed a deal with Gardner Group for one of the largest commercial energy storage projects in Utah. The project will utilize Torus' proprietary technologies and software platform, integrating with renewable energy sources and EV charging infrastructure. It will participate in Rocky Mountain Power's Wattsmart Battery program for grid resilience. Nate Walkingshaw, CEO of Torus, expressed excitement for the project, highlighting its significance for energy resilience, sustainability, and cost savings. The project is expected to start in Q4 of this year and complete by early 2026, storing and dispatching 26 MWh of energy.
