A U.S. research team has developed a mini perovskite solar module with a special polymer hole transport layer material, enhancing panel stability and efficiency. They addressed UV light-induced perovskite degradation, leading to higher efficiency levels. The team achieved a power conversion efficiency of over 16% in a 15 cm2 module, retaining it for about 29 weeks of outdoor testing. The research was confirmed independently at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Perovskite PV Accelerator for Commercializing Technologies (PACT) accelerator.
