UKIB invests £20m in Scottish cable factory

UK Infrastructure Bank has invested in XLCC for a new factory in Hunterston, Scotland, to develop subsea high voltage direct current (HVDC) cables. The investment aims to support the UK's Clean Energy Mission and accelerate the transition to net zero by creating manufacturing jobs and boosting production capacity for offshore wind projects.
