US developers added 11GW of new utility-scale clean power capacity in the second quarter of 2024, demonstrating a 91% increase from Q2 2023. The American Clean Power Association (ACP) released its Clean Power Quarterly Market Report for Q2 2024, highlighting strong growth and milestones in the US clean power landscape. Texas surpassed California as the leading state for utility-scale solar capacity. The US energy storage sector exceeded 20GW of operational capacity, with significant expansions expected in offshore wind. ACP CEO Jason Grumet emphasized the need to accelerate progress towards a clean energy future.
