US renewable energy developer EnergyRe has signed deals to supply solar power to five facilities of the Department of Defense (DOD) from 135 MW of photovoltaic (PV) projects in South Carolina. Electricity supplies will be made under two 15-year power purchase agreements (PPAs). EnergyRe will meet its commitment under the deals with power from its 60-MW Shorthorn and 75-MW Culpepper solar farms. The contracts were facilitated by DOD’s enrollment in Duke Energy Corp’s Green Source Advantage (GSA) programme.
