US government doubles tariff rates on PV cell imports from China to 50%

The US government has decided to raise tariff rates on solar cells and other products imported from China. The tariff increase aims to protect against China's dominance in the global solar supply chain and its unfair practices. The Biden administration is also raising tariffs on aluminum, steel, semiconductors, electric vehicles, lithium-ion EV batteries, ship-to-shore cranes, and medical products to ensure fair competition for American workers and businesses.
