US north-east states enter transmission pact

North-east US states have agreed to coordinate their activities to improve interregional transmission planning and development, to boost the clean energy transition. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The MoU is aimed at enhancing grid reliability, accelerating renewables expansion, and exploring offshore wind infrastructure needs and solutions.
