US shingle provider GAF Energy opens 250MW manufacturing plant in Texas

GAF Energy, a US-based solar shingle provider and subsidiary of Standard Industries, has significantly expanded its production capacity by opening a new 250MW solar shingle factory in Georgetown, Texas. This expansion increases the company's total production to 300MW annually, marking a 500% capacity increase. The new 450,000 square foot facility will enhance both R&D and manufacturing capabilities, supporting the growth of the US rooftop solar sector. Previously, in 2021, GAF Energy established its first combined R&D and manufacturing base in the US.
