Utility PSE contracts with Qcells for PV plant, Brightnight for BESS in Washington, US

Puget Sound Energy in Washington, US has announced the expansion of Lower Snake River Wind facility to accommodate the Appaloosa Solar project. The utility has signed contracts with Qcells for a solar PV project and with Brightnight and Cordelio Power for a standalone battery storage project. Qcells, a subsidiary of Hanwha Group, received a loan guarantee from the US Department of Energy for its US-based production plant. Puget Sound Energy aims to meet clean energy goals by adding renewable energy assets to its resource mix.
