Uzbekistan set for large solar-plus-battery system

The ADB is proposing a large scale, solar-plus-battery system in Uzbekistan. The project involves the construction of two solar power plants, a pooling station, BESS, transmission lines, and a 70 km overhead transmission line. ACWA Power's Sazagan Solar 1 LLC will develop the project. Uzbekistan aims to increase solar capacity to 7 GW.
