The VIFOR wind farm in Buzău County, Romania, is a significant renewable energy project that will help reduce Romania's dependence on fossil fuels and improve air quality. It will involve the installation of 30 EnVentus Vestas V162 wind turbines with a capacity of 6.4MW each, making it one of Europe's largest onshore wind farms. The project is supported by Actis and Low Carbon through their subsidiary First Looks Solutions. Vestas has been selected as the EPC partner for the project, with Phase 1 expected to be completed by 2025. Finance loan facilities of up to €291m have been secured for Phase 1 construction. The project will create local jobs, deliver economic benefits, and support community initiatives in Buzău County.
