Orsted and PS Renewables are proposing an updated 740MW solar project in central England, known as One Earth Solar Farm. The project includes associated battery storage and infrastructure and aims to connect to the National Grid at High Marnham substation. The developers have conducted two rounds of consultations to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to the project in line with environmental and technical assessments. The project aligns with the UK's goal of decarbonizing the power sector by 2035 and achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. It is classified as a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) and will require a Development Consent Order (DCO) from the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
