Voltalia turns sod on 126MW Uzbek solar

Voltalia has started construction of a 126MW solar and battery project in Uzbekistan called Sarimay. The project includes partnerships for additional batteries, financing from EBRD and Japan International Cooperation Agency, and plans for a wind farm. Voltalia also signed agreements for a 500MW battery storage complex and a memorandum of understanding at the Tashkent International Investment Forum to support renewable energy production in Uzbekistan.
