‘We are able to give you certainty’: EIT launches European Solar Academy at Intersolar Europe 2024

EIT InnoEnergy has launched the European Solar Academy at the Intersolar Europe event in Munich. The academy aims to train 65,000 individuals in the European PV sector. Oana Penu, director at the InnoEnergy Skills Institute, described the academy as a centrally-managed platform offering educational material and accreditation. The initiative focuses on upskilling and reskilling workers to meet future sector demands. Challenges in the European solar sector include the need for additional trained installers and workers to sustain solar deployments and expansion.
