YEO, BYD launch battery storage joint venture in Turkey

YEO Technology's subsidiary Reap Battery and BYD's Great Power are forming a joint venture in Turkey for energy storage solutions. The Turkish government is providing incentives for the domestic electric car industry. BYD is investing in an electric and hybrid car plant in Manisa. YEO Technology will produce energy storage systems under Reap Battery and Great Power brands primarily in Turkey and Europe. A partnership is being sought for a rare earth elements deposit in Turkey. Several companies are investing in battery manufacturing and electric vehicle production in the region.
