Ørsted commissions 518MW solar-plus-wind project in Texas

Danish renewable energy company Ørsted commissioned its Helena Energy Center in Texas, a 518MW co-located solar and wind project. The facility, located in Bee County, consists of the Helena Wind Farm and the Sparta solar project. This project is part of Ørsted’s US$20 billion investment in energy generation facilities in the US. Texas Senator Morgan Lamantia highlighted the benefits of the project for Texans, mentioning workforce opportunities, public school support, and rural area funding.
