Đokić: Republic of Srpska to build 1,200 MW of new energy facilities by 2030

The Republic of Srpska plans to build and put into operation 1,200 MW of new energy facilities by 2030, focusing on renewables and decarbonization. The Energy Minister, Petar Đokić, mentioned completed projects like the Bileća solar power plant. Investments include state-owned and private projects, with a shift towards renewable sources. Đokić highlighted joint regional efforts and European financial institutions' role in energy projects. Montenegro's Energy Minister, Saša Mujović, addressed challenges in transition, prioritizing renewable sources and reducing CO2 emissions. Western Balkan countries aim for cooperation and support from European partners in energy transition.
