65MW solar PV and energy storage site granted planning consent in New Zealand

Ethical Power, a UK renewable energy developer, has obtained planning consent for a 65MW solar PV development in Selwyn District, New Zealand. The Buckleys Road Solar Farm project, developed in partnership with KeaX Limited, features 140,000 single-axis tracking modules, 13 inverters, and a co-located battery energy storage system. The project includes 104 hectares of solar arrays with an operational generating capacity of 100GWh per year. Nick Keeler, the country manager for Ethical Power Development New Zealand, has played a key role in leading the project.
