ABB helps balance Spanish island grids

ABB has secured a contract for technology to support increased supplies of renewable energy on Spain’s Canary and Balearic islands. Red Electrica awarded ABB four orders for synchronous condensers to strengthen the electricity grid and boost the energy transition. These solutions will play a vital role in maintaining the stability and reliability of the island grids as they integrate more renewable energy.
