Acciona's blade recycling plant progresses

Acciona's Waste2Fiber wind blade recycling plant in Navarre, Spain, has been declared a project of regional interest. The plant will employ more than 100 people and is expected to start construction in Lumbier by the middle of this year. It aims to have a processing capacity of 6,000 tonnes of material per year by the end of 2025, using proprietary heat treatment technology for recycling composite materials from wind turbine blades.
