Akaysha locks debt, partial PPA for 415-MW battery in NSW

Akaysha Energy Pty Ltd secured a AUD 650 million debt funding for its Orana battery energy storage project in New South Wales, with a capacity of 415 MW/1660 MWh. The project will be installed near Wellington and will utilize Tesla's Megapack technology. EnergyAustralia has a 12-year virtual toll off-take deal for 200 MW capacity of the project.
