Alliant Energy Corp plans to expand its Bent Tree wind farm in Minnesota by adding more turbines, with a total capacity of 150 MW. The 122 turbines in the original wind park were commissioned in February 2011. The company's new project will meet the electricity demand of at least 60,000 homes annually. Alliant Energy has a significant customer base in Iowa and Wisconsin and is a major player in the US renewable energy sector.
