AMEA Power starts construction on 120MW solar PV plant in Tunisia

Construction of the Kairouan solar PV project in Tunisia by AMEA Power with a capacity of 120MW is expected to be commissioned in Q4 2025. The project secured financing of US$86 million through IFC and AfDB. AMEA Power's chairman, Hussain Al Nowais, highlighted Tunisia's potential for renewable energy. The project aims to support Tunisia's goal of achieving 35% renewable energy in its mix by 2030. AMEA Power has a growing portfolio in renewable energy projects.
