Ameren Missouri acquires 150MW PV plant in Illinois

Ameren Missouri plans to add 2.8GW of solar capacity by 2030. They have acquired a 150MW solar PV project in Illinois. The Cass County Renewable Energy Center is under construction and previously owned by Savion, a subsidiary of Shell. Ameren Missouri aims to double its Renewable Solutions Program with the Cass County project. Mark Birk, chairman and president of Ameren Missouri, highlighted the demand for sustainable solutions. RWE's US project development subsidiary is constructing a 150MW PV project in Illinois called the Casey Fork project.
