ARENA opens AUS$100 million ‘Solar ScaleUp Challenge’

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) launched the global AUS$100 million 'Solar ScaleUp Challenge' to stimulate innovation and collaboration in the solar sector. Ultra-low-cost solar is critical for reducing electricity costs and decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors, enabling the production of green hydrogen. ARENA's vision includes achieving a '30-30-30' approach to solar by 2030. The Solar ScaleUp Challenge complements the Solar Sunshot Program, administered by ARENA, to build a pipeline of solar PV innovation in Australia.
