Australia adds 9.6 GWh pumped hydro project to pipeline

BE Power plans to build the 800 MW Big G pumped hydro energy storage project in central Queensland. The project aims to enhance energy reliability, support the transition to renewable energy sources, and provide economic benefits. Several other pumped hydro projects are also in the pipeline in Queensland as part of the state government's renewable energy plan.
