Australia confirms funding for 3 GW green hydrogen project

The Australian and Queensland governments, along with a consortium of Australian and Japanese energy companies, are investing in the Central Queensland Hydrogen (CQ-H2) project in Gladstone. The project aims to develop a large-scale renewable hydrogen facility with the capacity to export to Japan and local industry. The project includes the installation of electrolysers to produce green hydrogen for export and production of ammonia. This initiative is in line with Australia's ambitions to lead in the global hydrogen market.
