Australia could add over 7GW of renewable energy capacity by the end of 2024

The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) in Australia predicts over 7GW of renewable energy capacity to be added in the country by the end of 2024. This includes large-scale wind and solar PV reaching first generation, small-scale rooftop solar, and approved large-scale renewable power station capacity. Rooftop solar PV installations are expected to overtake coal-fired power. Australia is a global leader in rooftop solar PV installations with the potential to add more capacity.
