Australia grants offshore wind licences

The Australian government has issued six feasibility licences for offshore wind projects off the coast of Gippsland, Victoria, with six more under assessment. Companies like Orsted, Mainstream Renewable Power, AGL Energy, and Iberdrola have received or are awaiting these licences. The projects, which aim to support Victoria's renewable energy targets, involve environmental assessments, First Nations consultations, and will be developed in phases to contribute significantly to the state's energy goals.
