Australia’s cumulative installed PV capacity tops 29.7 GW

The International Energy Agency's (IEA) latest Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (PVPS) report shows that Australia remained in the top 10 for both new PV installs and total market, with a slight contraction in PV installations in 2022. Despite supply chain issues and investment lags, the market landscape in Australia is paving the way for increased rollout of rooftop solar, particularly commercial PV deployment. Australia leads in installed solar per capita and is a favorable market for battery storage.
