Australia’s rooftop solar market declines as volumes fall

The latest data from Australian solar and storage market analyst SunWiz shows a decline in national rooftop market volumes in June. Despite a year-to-date total tracking above last year, SunWiz Managing Director Warwick Johnston points out a worrying trend of a declining market. The decline in installations and drop-off in prices are putting pressure on solar retailers. State volumes went backwards in June 2024, with different states experiencing declines. Residential rooftop installations were hardest hit, while most of the commercial rooftop solar sector also saw decreases.
