Liontown Resources has reached an 'incredible milestone' with the commissioning of a 95 MW hybrid power station at the Kathleen Valley mine near Leinster in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields. The station includes solar capacity, wind turbines, battery energy storage, and gas and diesel-fueled generation to provide renewable power for mining operations. The project aims to operate with the lowest possible carbon footprint, ahead of first production, contributing to the global lithium market for electric vehicles and battery energy storage solutions.
