Australian miner energizes 96 MW offgrid wind-solar-storage plant

Liontown Resources has reached an incredible milestone with the commissioning of a 95 MW hybrid power station for the Kathleen Valley mine in Western Australia. The power station includes solar capacity, wind turbines, and battery energy storage, aiming for a minimum of 60% renewable power for the mining operation. The Kathleen Valley lithium project is expected to play a significant role in the global lithium market, supplying materials for electric vehicles and battery energy storage solutions.
