Australian miner energizes 96 MW offgrid wind-solar-storage plant

Liontown Resources is developing the Kathleen Valley mine near Leinster in Western Australia’s northern Goldfields. They have commissioned a 95 MW hybrid power station consisting of a solar farm, battery energy storage system, and wind turbines to supply renewable energy to the site. The power station is expected to provide a minimum of 60% renewable power for the mining operation.
