Austria introduces “Made in Europe” solar subsidy bonus

The Austrian government has introduced a “made in Europe” subsidy bonus for European photovoltaic components under the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG). Projects seeking funding for solar installations in Austria will be eligible for up to 20% subsidy depending on the proportion of European components used. The Ministry of Climate Action and Energy aims to provide support to Austrian and European companies using European products to strengthen environmental technologies and compete internationally. Additionally, the European Union and its member states have announced a Solar Charter to promote high-quality, sustainable PV manufacturing.
