BASF, NGK launch sodium-sulfur battery with less than 1% degradation rate

BASF Stationary Energy Storage and NGK Insulators have launched an improved version of their sodium-sulfur batteries with reduced corrosion and enhanced thermal management system. The new NAS Model L24 battery shows lower degradation rate and longer continuous discharge, incorporating new technology elements into the tested design.
